We provide digital pet identification services through QR code tags and companion app. Our mission is to help reunite lost pets with their owners quickly and safely, while also providing a profile hub storing essential pet identification and medical information, and owner information. 

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal information responsibly. The Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.


Information We Collect

We may collect the following information from you when you use the Sonny Boy Pets App:

  • Personal Information

    • Your name, email address, phone number, and home address (for account setup and lost pet recovery).

  • Pet Information

    • Pets name, breed, age, colour, allergies, medication, special needs, and other health notes you provide.

  • Technical Information

    • Device type, browser type, app usage data, and cookies when using our website.

  • Location Data

    • If a pet tag is scanned, the finder may share their GPS location so we can notify you where your pet was found.


How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Set up and manage your Sonny Boy Pets account.

  • Power the Lost Pet Recovery System, including displaying limited contact information to finders and sharing GPS pins.

  • Send you SMS or phone call alerts when your pet’s tag is scanned.

  • Process product orders (via Printify) and deliveries.

  • Improve our services and app features.

  • Communicate important updates, promotions, or support messages.


Sharing of Information

We may share your information only in the following situations:

  • With Finders

    • When a lost pet tag is scanned, the finder can see the information you choose to display (eg. phone number, address, email) to help return your pet.

  • With Service Providers

    • We work with third-party providers such as Printify (for tag production), ClickSend/Twilio (for SMS/phone alerts), and web hosting/app platforms (Glide, Google Firebase). 

  • For Legal Reasons

    • If required by law, regulation, or to protect safety.

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

Data Storage & Security

  • Data is securely stored use reputable third party providers (eg. Glide, Firebase)

  • All data is encrypted in transit via HTTPS.

  • Only authorised staff and contractors have access to customer data, and solely for business purposes.


Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access and update your personal or pet information any time time through the Sonny Boy Pets App.

  • Request depletion of your account and data.

  • Opt out of marketing emails, while still receiving essential service communications.


Children’s Privacy

  • Sonny Boy Pets is not directed at children under 13 years of age. 

  • We do not knowingly collect information from children without parental consent. 

  • If we become aware of such data, it will be deleted.


Changes To This Policy

  • We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

  • Any significant changes will be communicated via our website, app notifications and email.
